PLYMOUTH, MN – November 18, 2013 - OnApproach, an innovative provider of data integration, reporting, and analytics solutions to credit unions and community banks, announced today that David Hopkins has joined the organization as Lead Technical Architect.
David comes to OnApproach with 20+ years in information technology, most recently serving as Senior IT Project Manager at Target Corp. He was responsible for the successful delivery of IT projects across multiple technology platforms serving both internal and external consumers. In his role as Project Manager he coordinated cross-functional teams as appropriate to ensure successful software or application release; quality assurance, technical documentation, technical operations, training, technical support, and marketing. He drove the development and adoption of internal services used to expose product information which led to more consistent, accurate and maintainable access to a core set of the company’s data. He developed a hybrid Agile/Iterative project approach which allowed for clear and accurate budget forecasting while still producing 100% of the team’s deliverables at a 50% cost savings.
Prior to his role as Project Manager, he served as a Senior Systems Engineer. In this role he created an MS Access database application used by Target’s Architecture and Engineering team to track designer and layout information about Target stores, and designed and managed a MySQL database used for three years as the backend for an online game accessed by hundreds of players from across the world.
